Green Screen I and II, 2018, Collage.
Dutch landscape painters of the 17th Century created compositions that brought together a variety of locations, both encountered and imagined - mirroring the fluidity of their immediate geographic and economic situation as an intensive and unprecedented land reclamation project unfolded. Amidst new economic, political and cultural shifts, Green Screen I and II offers apparatus for further potential reimagining, taking two Aelbert Cuyp reproductions as their starting point.
