Guitar: Richard Kitson
Repeating investigates the seam between reality and fiction, through the deconstruction of scenes portrayed specifically in Hollywood films shot in the vast deserts surrounding Los Angeles. Focusing on the depiction of female characters in particular, the work in progress forms a performative, phenomenological study of spectrality, absence, sexuality, power, trauma, memory and imagination.
This new work will be exhibited at Shangri-La in Joshua Tree, California on the 5th September 2015. For more information on this exhibition click here.
