Remedy captures a series of empty billboards situated on either side of the European Route E94, as one travels between Athens International Airport and the capital city of Greece. Once clad in brash advertisements, these large sculptural objects denote economic austerity in Greece, whilst offering a solution in the face of late capitalism.
This photographic project exists as a photographic series and as part of a limited edition artist’s book. The artist’s book is represented by Kaleid Editions, and has been acquired by the Tate Library, MoMA Library and the V&A Museum, National Art Library amongst others. The photographs have been exhibited in small artist led exhibitions in Sheffield, in addition to been shortlisted for the Neo Art Prize in Bolton in 2013 where it was awarded a commendation by judge Laurie Peake.
